The Self-Performed
Work Model.
Most specialty subcontractors in New York rely on a network of lower-tier subs to execute the actual field work. AVC does not. Every scope we bid is performed by our own trained crews under direct AVC foreman supervision.
This model gives our GC partners something rare: a subcontractor who actually controls their own labor. When a schedule slips, we can respond directly. When quality issues arise, we own them. When coordination is needed, our foremen are on site and accountable.
It also means our pricing reflects real costs — not a markup chain. AVC crews are experienced in the specific demands of multifamily residential construction: high-volume repetitive work, tight floor-to-floor schedules, and the coordination complexity of large residential projects.
